The ballistic helmet is a wonderful addition to any survival gear set and is best used in close-combat situations, which is where head injuries most often occur. The Ballistic Helmet is able to take an M4 (5.56 mm) bullet at Pristine condition with as high as only Damaged Condition, making it helpful when fleeing if someone is aiming for the head. Keep in mind this doesn't mean that the helmet is invincible, and will take 1 or 2 bullets fired from an M4.
